The real story behind building a corporate portal
by Kenneth Richards - Wednesday, November 05, 2003
from the Portal News dept.

I found an excellent article discussing the strategies and decision making process involved in developing a corporate web portal. This is pretty heady stuff and is hard to understand for anyone who hasn't worked extensively in a corporate environment.

I think it offers some good advice on how to plan and build an enterprise level web portal. We, here at ASPNuke, are going through this process and determining ways to make the software more flexible by using open standards and an easy-to-use API. Specifically, we have our sights set on improving the modularity and supporting a wide variety of themes.

So please give this a read if you have a chance and please offer us any suggestions you might have on how we may improve our software.
